USCB's Golden Jubilee
Celebrating 50 Years of Higher Education in the Lowcountry
Community Event:
Presentation of the
University Medallion
The University of South Carolina Beaufort invites all citizens of Beaufort and Jasper Counties to enjoy the culminating event of the University’s Golden Jubilee year.
The Board of Trustees and the President of the University of South Carolina invite community members to attend the "Presentation of the University Medallion" on the Historic Beaufort campus Tuesday, April 6 at 11:00 in the Performing Arts Center.
The Trustees of the College of Beaufort have generously donated a medallion honoring this region's commitment to higher education since 1795. The Trustees, academic leaders from across the state and community leaders who have led the support for USCB's development as a baccalaureate university will participate in the ceremony.
Community members are invited to attend the ceremony and reception on the lawn of Beaufort College, visit the art gallery, tour the art classrooms and view the original manuscript of the Journals of the College of Beaufort 1795-1868. The Sand Shark Cafe restaurant in the Student Center will be open for lunch as well.
