This three day event to celebrate the USCB Golden Jubilee brings an exceptional trio of speakers to the Lowcountry:
- Dr. Ronni Baer, the William
and Ann Elfers Senior Curator
of European Paintings at
the Museum of Fine Arts,
Boston. Dr. Baer was curator of the exhibition El Greco to Velázquez: Art during the Reign of Philip III. It received international acclaim and was named one of the 10 best American museum shows of 2008 by Time Magazine. - Ulrich Boser writes about culture, politics, education,
social issues and criminal justice issues. He presently
serves as the research director for Leaders and Laggards, a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation-funded project that evaluates state systems of education. - Llewellyn Dykes is a retired undercover agent with the
Baltimore City Police Department and now a certified
personal property appraiser. He has worked in vice, corruption and graft but along the way picked up an education in the arts and antiques business through a prominent family that was comprised of art dealers, gallery owners and auctioneers.
