JOB APPLICATION PROCEDURES
The University of South Carolina has a central on-line application system and database of all employment opportunities (uscjobs.sc.edu). This system is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, wherever you have internet access. Applications for all full and part-time (permanent and/or temporary) positions at USCB must be submitted through the on-line system. The only exceptions are Volunteer Opportunities.
Applicants may search the database of available positions, which are updated daily, AND/OR create on-line applications to apply for career opportunities at all University of South Carolina system locations. If you wish to review employment opportunities at USCB only, simply select USC Beaufort from the department drop-down box options. If you are interested in other University of South Carolina locations please select the appropriate department box drop-down box option. If you do not make a selection in the department drop-down box and the selection remains Any, the displayed results will show all employment opportunities throughout the University of South Carolina system.

USC Beaufort, serving the Lowcountry with North (Beaufort) and South (Bluffton) area campuses, is always looking for qualified part-time (adjunct) faculty to enrich its newly authorized baccalaureate-level academic programs. Minimum qualifications for teaching in the academic programs are a doctor's or master's degree in the teaching discipline or master's degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline). A terminal degree is preferred. These appointments are on a course by course basis. Salary is commensurate with education, experience and discipline. These postings are continuous in order to develop a qualified pool of interested candidates. If your academic area of interest/expertise meets the programmatic needs of USCB at any time, you will be contacted by the Program Director/Division Coordinator to discuss proposed teaching opportunities. These needs change from semester to semester.
If you are interested in part-time teaching opportunities in an academic degree program please complete the on-line Academic Personal Information form through the USC Jobs Online Employment Site. Osher Lifelong Learning Institute - This program is organized and planned by its curriculum committees and everyone is encouraged to contribute in some way. You may teach or facilitate a course, be a class assistant, serve on the curriculum committee, help in the office or perform other tasks. Working together maintains a high-quality program at a reasonable cost. A good way to first become involved is to serve as a class assistant.
