Global Studies

Dr. Babet Villena-Alvarez Ph.D., Professor of French, Spanish, and Global Stuides is the Chair of the Department of Humanities and Fine Arts.  She has extensively researched French and Spanish literature, and her current interest is Language for Special/Specific Purposes (LSP). She has presentated on LSP and global studies, both nationally and internationally. She was awarded Carolina Trustee Professor for 2012 and was honored as South Carolina Governor's professor of the year in 2010.
