MEDIA STATEMENT: Announcement of death of a student

April 3, 2016

BEAUFORT, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Beaufort family suffered a tragic loss, Friday, March 31st when USCB computational science student Nick Becker passed away.

The thoughts and prayers of USCB go out to the Becker family. He will be greatly missed by the entire USCB community.

Grief counselors are available to help the USCB family during this time. A grief counseling session will be held Tuesday, April 4 on the Hilton Head Gateway Campus.

A memorial service will be held in Nick's honor, and the details of the service will be forthcoming.
