USCB Appoints James A. Duffy Alumni and Annual Giving Officer

James Duffy USCB Alumni and Annual Giving OfficerBLUFFTON, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Beaufort has appointed James A. Duffy, M.A., Alumni and Annual Giving Officer in the Advancement department. Duffy previously served as an Instructor of English in the Department of English, Theater and Liberal Studies at USCB.

In his new position, Duffy will support the university's development efforts by planning, conducting and managing the university's programs to seek annual, capital and planned gifts from alumni, parents and friends of the university. He will assist in developing comprehensive strategies for all aspects of USCB's fundraising programs, including setting annual and long-range goals to support a comprehensive campaign.

Duffy earned a B.A. in English, cum laude, in 1998 and an M.A. in English in 2006 at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He joined USCB in 2009. He has accumulated a string of awards from the university. He was named USCB's Adjunct Professor of the Year in 2012; he won the Vincent P. Mesaric Award in 2015, and he was honored as Outstanding Faculty Advisor in 2016 and Instructor of the Year in 2017.
