Academic Awards
At the end of each academic year, the University is pleased to celebrate outstanding performance by its students, staff and faculty in a formal ceremony that is attended by all faculty in full academic regalia.
The faculty of every degree program recognizes its very best students with a certificate of recognition, publicly celebrating their overall excellence in their chosen discipline.
In addition to academic awards, the Darwin B. Bashar “Student of the Year Award” recognizes a student that excels academically and makes significant contributions to campus life and community activities.
The Vincent P. Mesaric Award goes to a full-time faculty or staff member who demonstrates a strong commitment to working with students outside of the classroom by participating actively in student organizations and student-sponsored activities.
Other awards given include the outstanding academic advisor of the year, the adjunct professor of the year and the professor of the year.
