BSN Major Curriculum

Students accepted in the BSN major must abide by the following:

A grade of “C” is required in all courses.

Nursing courses (total 66 - 69 credits)* are to be completed in five semesters:

  • Intro to Professional Nursing
  • Biophysical Pathology
  • Health Assessment
  • Adult Health I
  • Clinical Pharmacology
  • Nursing Research
  • Women’s Health Nursing
  • Children’s Health Nursing
  • Health Care Delivery Systems
  • Mental Health Nursing
  • Community Health Nursing
  • Gerontological and Rehabilitation
  • Trends and Issues in Nursing
  • Professional Leadership and Management
  • Adult Health Nursing II
  • Professional Nursing Seminar
  • Transcultural Health (or Medical Anthropology)

Students in the BSN major are required to perform certain skills requiring specific abilities. See the Department of Nursing BSN Student Handbook for a listing of these abilities.
