About
Dr. Read has been teaching at USCB since 2002. She taught English at UAB and Samford University. She taught Education classes and supervised student teachers at the secondary level at Samford University and at the University of Alabama. She ran the Office of Field Experiences at Samford University. She has a special concentration in the areas of English Education and in Composition and Rhetoric.
Pat grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. She spent 9 years living abroad in the United Kingdom where she attended Reading University during her junior year in college abroad. She is the mother of three grown daughters and one grand daughter.
