USCB Provides Affordable Access to Baccalaureate Education
Tuition and Fees
The University of South Carolina Beaufort offers the most affordable tuition for bachelor's degree programs in the University of South Carolina system.
- In-state tuition for a full time undergraduate student attending for one semester is $3,457*.
- Because of our proximity to Savannah, Georgia, residents of Chatham, Effingham and Bryan counties in Georgia pay in-state tuition at USCB.
- Out-of-state tuition for a full time undergraduate student attending for one semester is $7,382*.
Scholarships
- South Carolina's Palmetto, Hope and Life scholarship winners are increasingly choosing USCB. In 2007-2008, 246 of these scholarship winners who had earned over $1 million in scholarships attended USCB.
- In addition, USCB awarded 27 of its own, local scholarships worth $58,650 to deserving USCB students in the 2007-2008 academic year.
- Financial aid & scholarships awarded to students through our offices in the 2007-08 academic year totalled $6.94 million.
The following dates are critical in applying for scholarships and financial aid:
- January 1, 2010 - Begin applying for 2010-2011 Free Application for Federal Student Aid Programs (FAFSA). Available at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
- March 1, 2010 - Deadline to apply for 2010-2011 USCB Scholarships. A FAFSA must be submitted prior to this date to be considered for USCB scholarships.
- April 16, 2010 - The USCB Financial Aid Office priority deadline for FAFSA applications. Some need-based financial aid programs with limited funding are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Meeting this deadline ensures consideration for the maximum financial aid package for which a student is eligible.
