MANIC Monday; All day

Get caught in sand Shark gear by the “Shark Crew” and you will win a FREE spirit item to take to the big Homecoming soccer game on Saturday!

Make your Own Shark Hat           Private Dining         11am-2pm

Stop by the Private Dining Room to create your one of a kind shark hat.  It’s the perfect hat to wear to the big game on Saturday!

Kickball Kick-Off Game/ Chili Cook- Off        Library Quad         4:30pm

Do you want to try to defeat the staff and faculty for the second year running in the good ole game of Kickball OR do you love prepping for the fall with a nice warm bowl of chili? Be prepared, if you lose, the team captain of the losing team WILL get pied in the face! If you want to be a part of the chili cook-off, swing by for a taste and consider bringing a donation of a canned good!

Tuesday, September 30

Fat Tuesday: $5.55 lunch in the cafeteria

Make Your Own Mardi Gras Bead Medallions      Campus Center Lawn                        11am-2pm

Show your Mardi Gras spirit all week with your custom Mardi Gras Medallion on a necklace.  This one of a kind item won’t last long, so come early!

King Cake Competition                                                        Campus Center Lawn                        11am-2pm

Try a piece of traditional Mardi Gras fare in our king cake competition.  If you find the shark, you win a prize!

Banner Competition

Let’s see some spirit! We will be looking for the best sheet decorated by a student group with the theme of Homecoming in mind. The sheets must be hung in the trees on the quad no later than 3pm. Any student, staff, faculty, department, athletic team, etc. can join in the fun!

**Judging for this will be between 3-5pm and the winner will be announced at the half time at the big soccer game on Saturday**

Wednesday, October 1

Make Your Own Mardi Gras Mask                                 Campus Center Lawn                        11am-2pm

Mardi Gras would be no fun without your very own mask!  We have all the supplies you will need to create your own Mardi Gras mask to wear to the Homecoming Dance, Game, or just around campus all week!

Deck the Halls (indoors)

Let the spirit continue! Today will be a contest of decorating offices, departments, and every inch of USCB with the Homecoming “Let The Good Times Roll” spirit! There will be prizes for the Best Office, Best Department and Best Student Group! Any student, faculty department, athletic team, etc. can join in the fun!

Palmetto Village Music Series- Juan Alonzo          Lazy Lounge                                             9pm

Come out and enjoy the musical styling of Juan Alonzo tonight in the Lazy Lounge and earn some spirit points for your Homecoming team!

Thursday, October 2

College Shirt Swap Day                                      Campus Center Lawn                        10am-1pm

Alright everybody… here is your chance to make a stand! Make a stand against all of those other schools whose shirts we wear and take pride in your OWN alma mater. Bring a shirt from another school to the Campus Center Lawn and we will swap that shirt for a brand new Sand Shark shirt! Once you get your new shirt, tye-dye it in USCB colors!  All students, staff, and faculty are all free to join in the fun and show pride in being a Sand Shark!

Take a shark with you everywhere you go after you make an Origami Shark with the Anime ‘n Games Club.


If you are feeling the Sand Shark spirit the week of Homecoming, let’s show our surrounding community! Participate in an EXTREME canned food drive that will ultimately turn into a “can”struction. Let’s see which group can collect the most cans and build the best “can”struction! The “can”struction competition will have two different point categories: how many items are brought, and one for the overall design. “Can”struction designs will be judged on overall look, USCB theme/Let The Good Times Roll! and creativity. All canned goods will be donated to the Child Abuse Prevention Association (CAPA). Any student, staff, faculty, department, athletic team etc. can join in the fun!

Capture the Bee                                                     Campus Center                                     8pm

Show your Sand Shark Spirit in a game of Capture the Bee!  Instead of capturing the flag, we will capture the bee and start the winning streak before the big game on Saturday!

Friday, October 3

Sand Shark Corn Hole Tournament            Campus Center Lawn                        2pm-6pm

Show your skill at the Sand Shark Corn Hole Tournament, which is being sponsored by USCB Student Life and the Rotaract Club. Bring donations of paper towels, trash bags, laundry detergent, and cleaning supplies that will not only translate into extra spirit points for your team, but also much-needed donations for Family Promise!

Burn the Bee                                                            Campus Center Fire Pit                    7pm

For the first time USCB will be hosting a bonfire and Pep Rally to show our spirit before the big game!  Join us as we “Burn the Bee” in support of the USCB Women’s Soccer Team beating the SCAD Bees!  Special guest appearances will be made by our very own women’s soccer team! 

 Yell Like Hell                                                            Campus Center Fire Pit                    7pm

Nothing says spirit quite as much as a good cheer!  We are looking for the best cheer to support our team at Saturday’s Big Game!  This contest will be judged on creativity, USCB spirit, and team fun! Invite your fellow Sand Sharks to come cheer for the team and “Yell Like Hell” for USCB!

Join us after the Burn the Bee for a fun filled Homecoming Dance!  Dance the night away, partake in some Mardi Gras traditions, and have a chance to win some prizes!

Saturday, October 4

Women’s Soccer Game V. SCAD; 1pm; Finland Field

Come and sheer on your Women’s soccer team as they take on SCAD! There will also be announcements for the winners of the USCB Homecoming King and Queen as well as the winners for the events throughout the week!

USCB Concert Featuring: Candice Glover; gates open at 5pm; Hargray Plaza

The gates will open at 5pm, then the women of Zeta Phi Beta and men of Kappa Alpha Psi will be holding a Step Show at 5:30pm!  Following the step show will be opening act, Burnell Taylor, at 6:30pm, and finally Candice takes the stage at 7:30pm! There will be food trucks, prizes and lots of fun to be had! BE A PART OF MAKING A TRADITION AT USCB! All tickets free for USCB students, you must bring your student ID! (food will be an additional cost- CASH ONLY)
