Rotaract: Sand Sharks for Service

Do you love volunteering and meeting new people?  If so, then Rotaract Club is the way to go! Rotaract Club is an organization committed to making unforgettable volunteer experiences available to all USCB students.

What We Do

  • Host Service Saturdays that offer all USCB students the opportunity to volunteer and interact with their service-minded peers
  • Organize an Alternative Spring Break experience during USCB’s one-week vacation in March
  • Sponsor “Random Acts of Kindness” weeks in the fall and spring
  • Promote awareness of domestic violence and other social issues
  • Connect interested students with volunteer and internship placements at community partner organizations
  • Meet every other week to reflect on previous service projects and plan upcoming events
  • Welcome guest speakers from local civic organizations to discuss philanthropy, leadership, and related topics at our meetings
  • Collaborate with other clubs and organizations that are also involved in service activities and/or require their members to do a certain number of hours to remain in good standing

Rotaract Club members, in collaboration with USCB’s Civic Engagement Coordinator / AmeriCorps VISTA, work tirelessly to establish and strengthen USCB’s relationship with over 60 human services organizations in the surrounding area.  These community partners welcome the knowledge and skills that USCB students contribute to their organizations.
