Annual Housing Programs
Building Battles is a spring tradition for our residence halls to prove they are BEST! Resident Assistants and residents work together to show they have the best community and hall pride. Each building on campus competes in various team or individual activities including an obstacle course, human bowling, and tug-o-war.
This outreach program involves sending one or two faculty and staff members, plus a housing representative out together in a residence hall to knock on students’ doors to see if they need assistance with anything. Topics of conversations include involvement on campus, academics, room issues, campus safety, or course advisement. The interaction can be as simple as “How are your classes going?” to “We appreciate you and thanks for choosing USCB.” This program lets students know that the university community cares and is willing to take time to interact with them one-on-one and of course give away a sweet treat.
Super Bowl Party
Students cheer on their favorite team during the Housing and Judicial Affairs' Office Super Bowl watch party! Residents enjoy free food, games, and fellowship!
The Office of Student Life teams up with the Housing and Judicial Affairs Office to host the annual Winter Wonderland event! This past year, students were able to take a play games, create ugly sweaters, watch movies, make s'mores, and EVEN play with snow. After a week of setting up, the offices have thousands of lights and scenes set up for students to enjoy through housing and outside of the Campus Center as the walk or take a train ride.
