Tips for a Successful Visit to USCB

Whether you plan to visit USCB in-person or virtually, here are some helpful suggestions to get the most of out of your visit with USCB.

Talk to Current Students

If you decide to join us for an in-person campus tour, you will interact with a Student Ambassador, who is your tour guide while on campus. You can ask them questions about their experience at USCB, so you can best understand the student experience. Several of our virtual visits will also have a Student Ambassador available to answer questions. If you want to connect with a current student outside of these visits, let us know.

Take Note

We encourage prospective students to participate in an admissions information session, so you can get to know what USCB has to offer! While listening to the admissions information session, keep track of your thoughts and feelings, along with your questions that you still need answered.

Discover Fun Activities

You won’t be in class all the time at USCB. You’ll have time to play ping-pong with your friends in the Campus Center, grab a cup of coffee in the library, or challenge your roommate to a 1-on-1 basketball game. Research the opportunities that you can do in the local area. Here's a list to get you started.

Ask About Campus Safety

Feeling safe on school grounds is an important factor to consider when exploring a college. Our Department of Public Safety offers coverage for immediate response to calls for service, as well as Resident Assistants and a few on-site professional staff members to provide a safe living environment in our apartment-style residence halls.

Tour the Residence Halls

You’ll be spending a lot of time in your apartment style residence hall during college. We encourage prospective students to review our virtual campus tour to see the inside of our beautiful apartments.

Talk to Financial Aid

One of the biggest factors in determining your college or university is cost. Meet with financial aid and try to have a list of questions to ask while on campus. Our Financial Aid Office can be reached here

Explore the Community

With the USCB campuses each being just a short drive from the Atlantic Ocean and Hilton Head Island, you’ll have everything you need as you explore your powerful future.
