Adjunct Faculty Employment Opportunities

USC Beaufort, serving the Lowcountry with the Beaufort, Bluffton and Hilton Head Island campuses, is always looking for qualified part-time (adjunct) faculty to enrich its newly authorized baccalaureate-level academic programs.  Minimum qualifications for teaching in the academic programs are a doctor's or master's degree in the teaching discipline or master's degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).  A terminal degree is preferred.  These appointments are on a course by course basis.  Salary is commensurate with education, experience and discipline.  These postings are continuous in order to develop a qualified pool of interested candidates.  If your academic area of interest/expertise meets the programmatic needs of USCB at any time, you will be contacted by the Department Chair/Program Director to discuss proposed teaching opportunities.  These needs change from semester to semester.

If you are interested in part-time teaching opportunities in an academic degree program please complete the on-line Academic Personal Information form through the USC Jobs Online Employment Site.  Discipline specific vacancies are maintained continuously so that interested individuals may submit the appropriate information for consideration.  Click on a specific discipline below to apply.

For part-time teaching opportunities in the non-academic credit programs please contact the Community Outreach Office at (843) 208-8246.

USCB Volunteer Opportunities

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) - This program is organized and planned by its curriculum committees and everyone is encouraged to contribute in some way. You may teach or facilitate a course, be a class assistant, serve on the curriculum committee, help in the office or perform other tasks. Working together maintains a high-quality program at a reasonable cost. A good way to first become involved is to serve as a class assistant. These valuable members hand out materials, make announcements, set up equipment, and assist instructors in many important ways.  For more information please contact Margaret Saltrick at (843) 208-8247.

USCB is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Institution. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply.
