USCB has partnered with Beaufort Memorial Hospital to offer USCB students and employees virtual care 24 hours a day, seven days a week through BMH Care Anywhere. Students and employees can download the app or visit BMHCareAnywhere.org to setup an account and select the provider they would like to see. Providers can consult, diagnose and prescribe for cold/flu, sore throat, allergies, infections, and more! Students and employees with insurance will be able to bill their health plan and those without insurance can pay $49 by using code USCB. Students who need financial support to pay for this health care cost can apply for emergency aid.
In late October, students and employees will have access to a private walk-in care kiosk on the second floor of the Bluffton Library. The kiosk will provide BMH Care Anywhere video technology and access to tools like a blood pressure cuff, pulse monitor and thermometer to enable the health care provider to offer a more accurate diagnosis.
In addition to BMH Care Anywhere, students also have access to flu clinics, health fairs, and a Nurse Navigator who can answer questions and provide education and advocacy related to health care. The Nurse Navigator can be reached between 8am – 5pm by calling 843-522-7211. Flu Clinics will be scheduled during the fall semester. Students should bring their insurance card and driver’s license to all flu clinics. Flu clinics are $25 for uninsured students. To find out more about BMH Care Anywhere, please visit the website.
