USCB Joins Beaufort County in Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary

250 Anniversary Concert
 USCB Center for the Arts held an All-American piano concert by Jeewon Park and Andrew Armstrong and history lectures by Drs. Lawrence Rowland and John McCardell.

The University of South Carolina Beaufort is proud to participate in Beaufort County’s commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.

Throughout 2026, communities across the country including Beaufort County and USCB are celebrating America’s Semiquincentennial with programs that encourage civic engagement, historical understanding and appreciation for the enduring principles of liberty and self-government.

Members of USCB's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) visited Prince William’s Parish Church (Old Sheldon Church Ruins) during a bus tour of Revoluntionary War sites in Beaufort and Jasper counties.
