Department of Business Administration
Professional business preparation for management success
USCB Business Administration students receive a quality education in a setting that combines all the resources that a leading research university can provide in a learning environment that is personalized and tailored to allow each student to succeed. Our faculty creates an interactive classroom experience. Classes are taught by an outstanding faculty who are respected scholars, experienced teachers, and successful business people, many of whom are former high level business executives from major corporations. Small classes and direct contact allow faculty to understand and meet the needs, interests, and life circumstances encountered by our students.
The Business curriculum is modeled after the University of South Carolina school of business. Coursework provides students with opportunities to integrate work experiences with concepts and theories the faculty provide. Students are asked to understand the theories found in business, and are encouraged to apply this knowledge to their work experiences. A learning environment is created by the faculty that prepares students to successfully meet the challenges of today's businesses and society.
"Leadership is lifting a person's vision to higher sights, the raising of a person's performance to a higher standard, the building of a personality beyond its normal limitations." Peter F. Drucker
