Anna Carol Ptacin, MSN, RN, TCRN, CEN, PCCN
Instructor of Nursing

I am an Instructor of Nursing at USCB and primarily teach in Beaufort at the new learning center, as part of USCB's academic partnership with Beaufort Memorial Hospital . From Fall of 2023 to Spring of 2025, I taught at the USC Salkehatchie campus in Walterboro SC as a part of the USCB's previous partnership with that program.
I graduated with my BSN in 2015 and gained my MSN in Nursing Administration in 2022, both with the University of South Carolina.
My professional career includes six years of progressive care nursing with cross training to intensive care, and four years of emergency nursing. I am a member of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA), and the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Society. I still maintain a part-time position in the emergency department, since I value staying current with bedside nursing care. I hold specialty certifications as a progressive care certified nurse (PCCN), certified emergency nurse (CEN), and trauma certified registered nurse (TCRN).
My goal to give our nursing students a solid foundation via experiential learning, respect their differences by utilizing a nuanced approach to their education, and ultimately empower them to become capable clinicians and compassionate caregivers who can improve the future of nursing.
