Social Media for Your Business
Social media has become a central part of daily life. When it comes to marketing, PR or other business purposes, not everyone understands how to effectively use social media. Do you post or tweet too much or not enough. What should you post? Are you effectively managing your social media outlets? Are you blogging or using YouTube to help market your business? Learn the basics of social media to help expand your business. Social Media for Businesses participants will learn how to create a professional page in Facebook, use YouTube to promote your business, use blogging as a marketing tool and to network with other professionals via LinkedIn.

Social Networking for Newbies
Are you new to Facebook or Twitter? Would you like to communicate with friends and family members? "Social Networking for Newbies" is a beginner's guide to communication today. Social Networking for Newbies will provide users new to Facebook or Twitter the ability to effectively communicate with friends and family members. Learn how to create a Facebook or Twitter account (email account is required), find friends, post pictures and videos, post and tweet, and to learn the different security settings for Facebook.

Photoshop for Photographers: From Image Capture to Finished Print
Treat yourself to three full-day workshops, each a month apart, with Pulitzer nominated photographer Phil Dunn that will make you a better digital photographer. $100/workshop; $275 for the entire series. **Students must possess a digital camera with a 10-megapixel sensor. Become accomplished with Adobe's Camera Raw interface. Master the seven steps necessary to optimize the quality of every image you capture

Acquire skills in how to use basic and advanced features in Adobe Photoshop to manipulate the image after it has been optimized.

Workshop 3 - High Dynamic Range Photography
Learn how to extend your camera’s ability to respond to a wider range of light. Use Photoshop to simulate HDR by double processing images and delve into true HDR imagery by combining a range of exposures into one HDR image.

QuickBooks Level I teaches key features and capabilities of QuickBooks. Learn how to create a company, work with accounts, customer & vendor lists, enter sales, and create invoices.

QuickBooks Level II users will learn how to handle "tricky" situations including NSF checks, special transactions, track employee time, set up payroll, and be prepared at tax time.

Excel Level I will equip users the basic skills needed to create and use spreasheets. Learn how to enter and edit data, format cells, columns & rows, and create basic formulas. (Version 2010)

Excel Level II will prepare more users to develop spreadsheets that produce effective results. Learn how to generate charts and graphs, enter numbers as labels or values, and manage multiple worksheets. Reference Guide included with registration.(Version 2010)
PowerPoint will provide users the introductory features of PowerPoint so not only will they learn the basic steps to create and edit presentations, they will also learn how to enhance the look and functionality of them.

Refund & Cancellation Policy for Continuing Education Classes
A $35 administrative fee will be charged for cancelling after you have registered. A minimum enrollment is required for each class; therefore, classes can be cancelled due to low registration. If a class is cancelled, registrants have the option of receiving a full refund or transferring the fee to a later class. Please note, refunds typically take 3-4 weeks and will be made in a form of a check.

ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
Safe Boating Courses are offered in collaboration with the Hilton Head Sail & Power Squadron
Safe Boating Course – prepares students to skipper a boat safely & with confidence. Course covers boat handling, seamanship, equipment, navigation aids, radio use, and more. Registration required includes text and lunch.
Sat/Sat March 31 & April 7 8:30 am to 4 pm $145 PP
Seamanship - students build on the basics learned in Safe Boating. Course covers basic deck seamanship, marlinspike (knots and ropes), anchoring and rafting, basic boat care and maintenance, and nautical and USPS customs and etiquette. Registration required includes membership in the HHSPS and course materials.
