Art Club
The Art Club provides a venue for a broad student population to discuss, plan, and participate in various art and art related activities both within and outside of the university. Examples of such activities include arranging visiting artists’ lectures, curating art shows, web design ideas for the arts, organizing workshops and field trips, and creating posters and card designs for various art-related events. Membership is open to all students, faculty, and staff interested in the arts.

Student Internships
Internships are available to upper level studio art majors as 300-400 level courses. Supervised professional experience working within galleries, media companies, and graphic design studios looks great on your resume, and could lead to future employment. A contract approved by the employer, faculty sponsor, and department chair is required to arrange an internship course. Internships can be taken multiple semesters, for 1-3 upper level degree credits (50-150 contact hours per semester), and are available in the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
For-credit student internship courses are currently available with the following Beaufort employers:
- South Carolina Educational Television
- Beaufort Film Society and Festival
- PickleJuice Productions

- Murr Printing
- The Kazoo Factory and New South Shirts
