Andrew Pedersen, MBA
Instructor of Business & Communication Studies
One University Boulevard
Bluffton, SC 29909

As an Instructor of Business & Communication Studies at the University of South Carolina Beaufort, I teach courses in finance, business communication, marketing, consumer behavior, ethics, and international business. I emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to apply theory to real-world challenges, preparing students to succeed as business and communication professionals in a global marketplace.
Before joining USCB, I served as Associate Professor in the Marketing Department at Monmouth University, where I taught undergraduate and graduate students in areas such as advertising, integrated brand promotion, services marketing, and B2B marketing. My academic work is enriched by more than two decades of leadership experience in publishing, financial communications, and international business development.
I previously held senior positions at The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Fast Company, Worth, and The Nation, where I directed corporate and financial advertising and oversaw publishing operations. As Vice President at Oxford Analytica, a global geopolitical advisory firm affiliated with the University of Oxford, I led business development for North and South America, working with multinational corporations, U.S. government agencies, and international organizations.
I earned my MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and my BA in Economics from Montclair State University.
