My name is Will Eubanks and I teach chemistry here at USCB! A native of metro Atlanta, I received my B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Kentucky in 2019. I attended graduate school at the University of Nevada, Reno, where I earned my Ph.D. in Chemistry (2025) under the mentorship of Prof. Brian J. Frost.

At USCB, I teach organic chemistry lecture and laboratory courses on both the Bluffton and Beaufort campuses and engage in chemistry curriculum development. I also operate, maintain, expand, and teach about analytical chemical instruments on both campuses with the help of my Natural Sciences colleagues.

My research revolves around the air-stable, water-soluble phosphine PTA (1,3,5-triaza-7-phosphaadamantane), its derivatives, and these derivatives' transition-metal complexes. Such complexes—especially those of ruthenium—have a wide range of applications in catalysis (nitrile hydration reactions and atom-transfer radical addition reactions) and medicinal chemistry (as anti-cancer agents).
