Aubrey Whewell, PhD

I am Dr. Aubrey Whewell, an online instructor of Public Health at the University of South Carolina, where I have been teaching since 2019. I also currently serve as the Area Health Education Center Ohio Program Evaluator.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Adrian College and my Master of Public Health through the Northwest Ohio Consortium of Public Health a partnership among the University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University, and the Medical University of Ohio (now the College of Medicine and Life Sciences at the University of Toledo).

Before returning to academia to pursue my doctorate in Health Education at the University of Toledo, I worked in the field of public health at the Toledo-Lucas County Public Health Department, the American Cancer Society, and Susan G. Komen. More recently, I completed a Certificate in Online Teaching from the University of South Carolina in 2023.

I consider myself a lifelong learner and I enjoy helping people connect to resources, services, and information. Outside of work, I love exploring the local community, spending time with friends and family, and practicing self-care. If I ever authored a book, I would title it, "A Little About Everything."
