I am an online instructor of Public Health at the University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB), where I have been teaching since 2019. In addition to my faculty role, I recently became the Public Health and Human Services Internship Coordinator. I also serve as the statewide program evaluator for the Ohio Area Health Education Center.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Adrian College and my Master of Public Health through the Northwest Ohio Consortium for Public Health, a partnership among the University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University, and the Medical University of Ohio (now the College of Medicine and Life Sciences at the University of Toledo).
Before returning to academia to pursue my doctorate in Health Education at the University of Toledo, I worked in the field at the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, the American Cancer Society, and Susan G. Komen. More recently, I completed a Certificate in Online Teaching from the University of South Carolina in 2023.
I consider myself a lifelong learner and enjoy helping people connect with resources, networks, and knowledge. Outside of work, I love exploring the local community, spending time outdoors, being with friends and family, and practicing self-care. If I ever wrote a book, I would call it A Little About Everything.
