3. Athletics

In 2022, USCB was accepted into NCAA Division II and the Peach Belt Conference — adding women's and men's basketball to the roster of 13 varsity sports. Sand Shark basketball began competition with the 2023-24 season. In addition to basketball,  our sports include baseball, softball, and men’s and women’s golf, cross country,  indoor and outdoor track and field, and women's soccer.

As a USCB undergraduate, you can  be involved in ongoing research in marine biology, history, archeology, psychology, public health and more. From recording sounds made by dolphins in the May River to drug discovery for a new coronavirus treatment, USCB students make discoveries in tandem with leaders in their academic fields.
