Personalized Visits
Have additional questions after completing Sand Shark 100? Join us for a Personalized Visit to take a deeper dive into the information students and families need to start their Sand Shark experience with confidence.
These visits will be completely customizable for both students and their families. Students will either choose to come in the morning or afternoon on their Personalized Visit day. During registration you will be able to choose from the list of menu options below to tell us what you would like to do during your visit. Once we receive your registration a staff member will review your requests and build your personalized schedule. We will also check each students record and let you know in advacnce if there is anything you need to accomplish during your visit that wasn't on your radar.
All students who sign up for a Personalized Visit will participate in an Enrolled Student Tour. This tour will focus on showing you how to navigate the University once they arrive on campus to start classes. This tour will give you a chance to:
- Learn how to use your meal plan
- Find your classrooms
- Pick up your Student ID Card
- Talk with some of our campus resources about how to access them
- See a Residence Hall room
- Varify that you can access all University Technology and so much more!
Personalized Visit Menu
- Meet with Academic Advising about Fall 2026 Course Schedule
- Meet with Financial Aid about Student Loans, Scholarships, Federal Aid, VA, or Military Benefits
- Meet with a faculty member to discuss academic expectations and program offerings (please note that not all majors will be represented at every personalized visit date. A detailed schedule of the dates each major will be available will be posted soon)
- Receive support finalizing Admissions paperwork
- Meet with Accessibility Services about disability accommodations
- Complete the Math Placement Exam In-Person-for students majoring in CSCI, ISAT, Biology, and Business
- Complete the Sand Shark 100 Module In-Person
- Learn about Student Support Services for Family Members
- Athletics Meeting for Student Athletes
Express Personalized Visits
Express Personalized Visits are available for students who have very specific needs from their campus visit. These events have the same indivulalized care of a regular Personalized Visit, but have trimmed down menu options and no Enrolled Student Tour. You might choose this option if you are familiar with campus, have less time available, or know exactly what you need from your visit.
