Be aware of your surroundings.  The Public Safety Department provides links to the Beaufort County Sheriff Office and the Jasper County Sheriff Office to keep you up to date on crime alerts in our area.  New crime alert updates for the campus will be posted here as needed.

Emergency Alert System (EAS) 

In the event that a situation arises, either on or off campus, that, in the judgment of the Chief of University Police or the designated command authority, constitutes an ongoing or continuing threat, a campus wide “timely warning” will be issued through the Campus Public Address system and the University Emergency Alert System.

All students are encouraged, through Self Service Carolina, to sign up for the Emergency Alert System’s very valuable service to receive Campus Alert text messages, emails and social media postings.
