Study History at USCB

The University of South Carolina Beaufort’s history program includes a wide variety of courses in U.S., European and non-Western history. As a History major you will develop skills in historical analysis, critical thinking and persuasive communication. You have the option to explore specialized areas including digital history and public history. Writing is central to this degree, and seniors take a capstone course where they produce an in-depth history research paper or project. Our history program can be tailored to your career goals, so you will work closely with your adviser to choose courses that fit your plans after graduation. Specialized advising is offered for students planning to pursue a law degree.
