USCB Partners with BJHCHS to Provide Healthcare on Campus

Finnegan with health workersBeaufort Jasper Hampton Comprehensive Health  Services (BJHCHS) provides the medical services listed below and more.

  • Annual physical exams
  • Wellness and nutrition counseling
  • Lab tests
  • Vaccinations
  • Mental health/Social worker counseling
  • Chronic care (diabetes, hypertension, ADHD, etc.)
  • Acute episodic care (sick visits, acute care, etc.)
  • On-site flu/strep/COVID-19 testing
  • Screenings (HIV and STD)
  • Sports physicals

On Campus Mobile Unit Schedule

  • Bluffton Campus: First Monday of the month from 8:30am - 5:00pm, outside Campus Center.
  • Beaufort Campus: Third Monday of the month from 8:30am - 5:00pm, outside of the 1100 Boundary Building.

Students can seek medical attention at the mobile unit, via virtual health visits, or through in-person appointments at BJHCHS health centers in Hardeeville, Okatie,  Beaufort (Port Royal), Sheldon, St. Helena, Estill and Hampton. 

Cost

No student will be denied care due to lack of resources or lack of health insurance. Students seeking help for medical expenses should apply for aid via the Student Emergency Fund

S.C. Department of Public Health Clinics

DHEC Bluffton Location Building

At its clinics in Bluffton and Beaufort, South Carolina's Department of Public Health will provide the following:

  • Pap smear and breast exam
  • Contraception
  • Testing for sexually transmitted infection
  • HIV PrEP referral for confidential care
  • HIV and Hepatitis C testing
  • Select immunizations
  • Referrals to other healthcare providers as needed

Cost

Services are completely confidential and at low or no cost to USCB students (based on student income).
