Fishing Charter with Captain Zach Markow and Southern Style Charters
Date: Saturday, August 23
Time: Boat leaves at 7AM

Zach Markow, a USCB alum and owner of Southern Style Charters, will be leading this boating and fishing excursion. Whether you're an experienced angler or new to fishing, Capt. Zach Markow will ensure a memorable fishing experience here in the Lowcountry. During this charter, you will most likely be targeting redfish and sharks. With a maximum of 6 participants, you can join 5 other students and travel down the Broad River. The trip will meet at 7am around the Beaufort area. The exact location will be determined 2 days before the trip and is dependent upon the wind and weather for that day. Coligny Beach Day
Date: Friday, August 29

Departure Time: 12:30 behind Campus Center | Beach/Explore 1-4pm

Join Student Life and Campus Rec in enjoying the beautiful beaches of Hilton Head.
Coligny Beach is the most popular beach on the island, seeing thousands of tourists
each year. Coligny is also home to several species of coastal wildlife. Upon arriving,
you will be given free time to explore Coligny Beach Park and the surrounding shops.
Please make sure to bring sunscreen, sunglasses/hat, and appropriate beach wear.
Transportation: Transportation will be provided to the first 13 students that register
and request transportation.

Join Sand Shark Adventures and Outside Hilton Head for a guided tour to explore the
unique beauty of Hilton Head. Paddle through calm waters and take in the breathtaking
scenery of Hilton Head's salt marshes, tidal creeks, and rivers. Outside Hilton Head's
experienced guides will lead you on a journey of discovery as you encounter local
wildlife such as dolphins, ospreys, egrets, herons, and more. You'll learn about the
fascinating history and ecology of the area while enjoying a peaceful and relaxing
outdoor adventure. Transportation, instruction, all necessary equipment, and personal
flotation devices are included in the cost.
Pinckney Island Coastal Clean-Up & Exploration

Join us for a community coastal clean up on Pinckney Island with The Outside Foundation.
All supplies will be provided. This event is in coordination with Outside Foundation's
Paddle Fest. Explore miles of trails and local wildlife while making our coastal area
cleaner and greener.
Thrift & Thrive: A Bluffton Bargain-Hunting Adventure

stores. From retro threads and quirky home décor to unexpected treasures, you'll have
plenty of chances to hunt for one-of-a-kind pieces and unleash your inner stylist.
Haunted Walking Tour

Join us as we travel over to Beaufort for the CAPA Haunted Walking Tour, one of the
Lowcountry’s most infamous Halloween experiences!
Explore the haunted streets of Beaufort’s Historic District by lantern light, guided
by storytellers who’ll share chilling tales of restless spirits, centuries-old secrets,
and the dark side of Southern charm. Whether you're a ghost story fanatic or just
love a good scare with friends, this trip is the perfect mix of history, mystery,
and Halloween fun.
Transportation: Transportation will be provided to the first 14 students that register
and request transportation.
St. Augustine Festival of Lights

Time: Depart at 9am on Saturday; return on Sunday

Sand Shark Adventures for an unforgettable night under millions of twinkling white
lights in historic St. Augustine, Florida. The Nights of Lights Festival transforms
the nation's oldest city into a glowing winter wonderland. This trip includes van
transportation, one night in a hotel, free time to explore shops and historic sites,
and a trolley tour.
Whether you’re strolling the cobblestone streets, snapping photos at the Plaza de
la Constitución, or grabbing holiday treats with friends, this trip is your ticket
to kick off the holiday season!
What You Need to Know:
Alcohol is prohibited on all trips.
No-show participants are not eligible for a refund.
Basic health history form will be required prior to trip for all participants.
If you are providing your own transportation, you will be responsible for all parking
fees.
Trips are filled based on registration and payment basis; spots will not be held.
Trips are a student-first activity. If faculty/staff are interested in joining an
adventure trip, please email Sam Haering to be placed on the faculty/staff waitlist.
If spots remain available after the deadline, we will contact individuals on the waitlist.
Refunds:
You must cancel at least 7 days prior to the trip to get a refund. A full refund will
be given if the trip is canceled due to low registration, weather, or other extenuating
circumstances. If you register for the trip inside the 7-day refund window, you will
not be given a refund.
