New Course Proposal

Please complete all sections of the form. All submissions for new course proposals must also include the following:

  • A Justification statement for the course:  This is a brief summary that describes the course and explains the rationale for creation of the course and how it complements the program's existing curriculum.
  • A sample Syllabus for the course that meets the criteria as outlined in the USCB Syllabus Guidelines.
  • A Bibliography: This is a list of source material that you might use as part of the course or in putting the course together, or any additional outside readings that may be assigned to students.
  • If necessary, a completed General Education Competency Alignment Form is required if the course is being proposed as a General Education requirement.

Course Change Proposal

Please complete all sections of the form, including specific details on the requested change – substantive or non-substantive – and a brief justification for the requested change. A completed General Education Competency Alignment Form (included below) is also required if the proposed course change affects the university's General Education requirement.

New Program Proposal

Please complete all sections of the form, including a detailed description of the proposed program. This form must also be accompanied by a Justification statement  that explains the rationale for creation of the program and its contribution to the overall pedagogical objectives of the university.

Program Modification Proposal

Please complete all sections of the form, including a detailed description of the proposed modification. This form must also be accompanied by a Justification statement, that explains the rationale for the modification and its overall impact on the program.

USCB General Education Competency Alignment Form

This form is required only if the proposed new course or course change affects the university's General Education requirement.
