“As a first year teacher now at Red Cedar Elementary, I feel more than prepared, and I owe that to my amazing mentors who guided me at USCB. When I arrived at the university, I was nervous and anxious to leave my family after the loss of my dad just 5 months before. But I immediately felt at home and knew I would be happy. My confidence grew and I became certain of my choice to become an educator. I traveled abroad to Europe where I learned new strategies to incorporate strategies within my classroom. I am thankful for the hands-on experiences USCB gives to all students.”
