Al M. Panu, Ph.D.
Chancellor

An accomplished scholar and academic leader, Al M. Panu, Ph.D., is the second Chancellor of the University of South Carolina Beaufort since it achieved baccalaureate status in 2004. He was appointed chancellor in 2015. Dr. Panu has devoted more than three decades to scholarship, teaching and higher education leadership in public comprehensive universities within the University System of Georgia. He and his wife Judith are the parents of three grown children.

Kim Dudas, Ph.D., R.N.
Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs

Dr. Kim Dudas, PhD, RN is Interim Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs and a Professor of Nursing at the University of South Carolina Beaufort. A first-generation college graduate, Dr. Dudas brings more than 30 years of clinical nursing experience and over 18 years of leadership in higher education. Her research interests include simulation in nursing education, cultural competence, and support for English-language learners. She is a board member and past board chair of Riverview Charter School and volunteers with Jasper Animal Rescue Mission, in addition to being active in local health partnerships and regularly mentoring students pursuing healthcare careers.

Angela D. Simmons, Ed.D.
Vice Chancellor, Student Development

Angela Simmons joined the University of South Carolina Beaufort in 2019 as Vice Chancellor for Student Development. She has more than 25 years of experience in student affairs. Angela’s previous roles include Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs at Virginia Tech and Assistant Dean of Students at Florida State. Angela lives in Beaufort with her husband Dave and their two very spoiled cats. In her spare time, Angela can be found reading a book, sitting on a beach, or Googling to support her curiosity habit.

W. Mack Palmour
Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management

Mack Palmour is the inaugural Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management at the University of South Carolina Beaufort. Arriving at USCB in 2013, Palmour has over 30 years of higher education experience, working in Enrollment Management, Admissions, Counseling and Advising, and over eight years in the hospitality industry, including six years with Marriott International. Mack is the father of two grown children, both of whom are working in higher education.

Landon K. Jones, MBA
Vice Chancellor of Finance and Operations

Landon Jones brings a strong background in higher education, healthcare, and military leadership, with expertise in financial management, operational efficiency, and team development. Prior to joining the University of South Carolina Beaufort, he served as Director of Finance and Human Resources at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. He holds an M.S. in Business Administration and a B.S. in Healthcare Management & Health Informatics from Colorado Technical University. A U.S. Army veteran, Landon has managed multimillion-dollar budgets in high-pressure environments. He is also an active youth sports coach and serves on regional financial leadership councils, reflecting his commitment to community and service. In his downtime, he enjoys spending time with his wife Ashton, son Parker, and daughter Skyler.

Quin Monahan
Director of Athletics

Quin Monahan joined the University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) as its third Director of Athletics in September 2012. Previously, he served as Director of Athletics at Belmont Abbey College and the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), after serving as Associate Director of Athletics at SCAD. While at SCAD, Monahan played a pivotal role in helping USCB establish its intercollegiate athletics program and gain membership in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and The Sun Conference.
In the 2024-25 academic year, under Monahan’s leadership, USCB is completing its third and final transition year to full membership in NCAA Division II and the Peach Belt Conference, with varsity teams in men’s and women’s basketball, golf, cross country, and track and field (indoor and outdoor), men’s baseball, and women’s softball and soccer.
Quin and his wife, Beth, are proud parents of two sons.
