University of South Carolina Beaufort Provost & Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Candidates

The Provost & Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs search committee has identified five finalists for the USCB Provost position.  The candidates are scheduled to visit campus on April 2nd, 14th, 21st, 23rd, and 28th.  The campus visits provide an opportunity for students, faculty, staff, and members of the community to meet each of the candidates and offer feedback.

Diana Cheshire Bio

Dr. Diana Cheshire currently serves as Dean & Professor in the College of Education at Florida Gulf Coast University. Immediately prior to her current role, she served as the Assistant Provost for Teaching & Learning at The Citadel.

Dr. Cheshire holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from Indiana University – Bloomington, a M.A. in Research of Teaching and Learning from the University of California - San Diego, and a B.S. in Education and Mathematics from Indiana University – Bloomington.

Susan Ganter Bio

Dr. Susan Ganter currently serves as the Senior Associate Director in the Center for Excellence in STEM Education and a Research Professor, Department of Physics and Astronomy at West Virginia University. Immediately prior to her current role, she served as the Provost & Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and a Professor of Mathematics at The University of Texas Permian Basin.

Dr. Ganter holds a Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Organization (Mathematics) from the University of California – Santa Barbara, a M.A. in Applied Mathematics from the University of California – Santa Barbara, a B.S. in Mathematical Sciences and a B.M. in Music Education,  from Southern Methodist University.

Dr. Kim Dudas currently serves as Interim Provost & Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of South Carolina Beaufort. Immediately prior to her current role, she served as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs & Professor of Nursing at USCB.

Dr. Dudas holds a Ph.D. in Nursing from Nova Southeastern University, a M.S. in Nursing from Rutgers University, and a B.S.N. in Nursing from East Stroudsburg University.

Dr. Kim holds a Ph.D. in Biology from the University at Buffalo, a M.S. in Biology from Florida International University, and a B.S. in Biology & Environmental Studies from Brock University.

Dr. Keith Dunn currently serves as a Visiting Professor of Physics at the University of South Carolina Beaufort. Immediately prior to his current role, he served as Interim President at Millsaps College.

Dr. Dunn holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from Indiana University – Bloomington and a B.S. in Chemistry from Erskine College.
